MEET THE STAFF

Lanita Ellison-Sene is the dance specialist. She is a graduate of Xavier University of LA. She has been trained in African dance by Master African performers both in the US and West Africa. Her passion is introducing young minds to diasporic culture. She is affectionately called Yai Lanita

CW Masali is the resident drum speacialist. He is a graduate of Prairie View A&M University. He has been trained by Master African Drummers. His numerous years of teaching and performing have helped to develop a style which is extremely appealing to young people. He is respectfull called Baba CW

Our curriculum has been designed by a staff of professional artist. Each artist has years of experience working with children and adults, both teaching and performing.

Melody Bell is the resident griot (historian.) She is a graduate of East Texas State University. She discovered the craft while teaching school. She then emersed herself in the art of storytelling. She has perfected the craft so much, that she can captivate the minds of pre-schoolers thru senior citizens. She is lovingly called Iya Afi
